‘Trade with Europe – good or bad for developing countries?’ targets for students of secondary education (sixth form) and their teachers. The pupils are going to work in five groups on a case study. They will try to answer the question ‘Is trade with Europe good or bad for developing countries?’
The EPA teaching module consists of two parts which are linked:
- A teaching module which provides information about the millennium development goals and the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) and case studies on five goods in five example countries. The pupil pages contain a research assignment with sub-questions and a final question. The pupils will work in groups on one case study and will have to draw their own conclusions. The teaching module also gives suggestions for creative presentations.
- This website with additional information about the millennium development goals and the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs), general information about the five ACP countries Tanzania, Ghana, Mauritania, Fiji and the Windward Islands, additional information about the case studies of the teaching module, links and a download page.
The teaching module can be downloaded for free, in parts and as a whole on the download page. You can also order the teaching module in full colour at the RISC online shop.
